Nails & Lashes Salon
A feminine luxury beauty destination in dusty pink and gold
This full-service nail and lash salon was designed around the experience of refined femininity, combining a dusty rose palette with warm gold accents to create an atmosphere that feels both luxurious and welcoming. The space is organized into distinct zones — a fluted reception desk, a manicure station area, a pedicure suite, a private manager's office, and a client coffee corner — all flowing together under cohesive white panel moulding and soft pink walls.
What the Client Needed
- Create a distinctive brand identity through the interior that is immediately recognizable as feminine and premium
- Design a multi-zone salon accommodating manicure, pedicure, and lash services within a compact footprint
- Provide clients with a luxurious, Instagram-worthy environment that encourages social sharing
- Incorporate ample product display shelving to showcase the nail color collection as a design feature
- Include a private manager's office and a client refreshment corner without disrupting the open salon feel
The Groundwork
Research into high-end beauty salon trends revealed that clients increasingly associate premium service with elevated spatial aesthetics — spaces that feel curated and photogenic rather than purely functional. Studies of successful beauty retail environments showed that dedicated product display walls, signature lighting fixtures, and a cohesive color story are the three strongest drivers of perceived brand quality. Dusty rose and gold were validated as evoking warmth, care, and sophistication with the target demographic.
The Idea
"Rose & Gold" — a salon experience built on the poetry of softness and shine, where every surface whispers luxury and every corner invites the client to pause, indulge, and feel celebrated.
What We Faced
- Fitting a full range of beauty service zones — manicure, pedicure, lashes, reception, and manager's office — into a narrow elongated floor plan
- Selecting a pink tone that reads as luxurious rather than juvenile across all lighting conditions, including task lighting for precision work
- Integrating large product display shelves into the design in a way that enhances rather than clutters the aesthetic
How We Solved It
- The plan was organized along a clear central circulation spine, with service zones arranged laterally and fluted column dividers creating visual separation while maintaining an open feel
- A warm dusty rose was selected and tested under multiple lighting scenarios; warm-white LED bulbs were specified throughout to ensure the tone remained sophisticated
- The nail polish shelving was treated as a feature wall framed within arched display niches with interior lighting, transforming storage into a glamorous focal point
